Blade: Delivering just under 4" of razor sharp, chisel ground cutting edge the V-Ground blade is made from well balanced American 154CM for solid performance. The trailing point offers a fine tip for controlled cuts and piercing performance while the there is plenty of belly for slicing and skinning tasks. The black coated blade offers discreet use and carry along with added protection against corrosion. The blade deploys via either the ambidextrous Thumb Disk for general use or the patented Emerson Wave for instant, out-of-the-pocket deployment when the seconds count. Self-lubricating washers deliver smooth, low maintenance operation for every day use.

Handle: The Appalachian has a beefy handle design with a deep index finger cutout and sweeping rear portion that locks the knife in the hand and provides a solid, secure grip even in adverse conditions. Thumb jimping on the spine provides added traction and indexing. Black G10 scales are textured for traction in the and with chamfered edges for comfort. The titanium liner construction is open with standoff barrel spacers giving the user easier access for cleaning and maintenance. One liner forms the liner lock which offers solid and reliable lock up for safe use. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.
