This Pena Custom Barlow Flipper is no exception and seamlessly blends traditional style and modern construction and materials. Blade: Sporting a classic Clip Point pattern blade, this knife has a robust flipper tab and fires hard. The blade is made from premium CPM-154 stainless with a hand-rubbed horizontal satin finish and has a razor edge. It rides on caged stainless bearings for a smooth operation and has a nice, strong detent which offers lightening quick deployment.

Handle: Modern and clean in both form and function. The Barlow Flipper is built with a frame formed by two thick, bronze anodized, bead blasted titanium slabs. The handles a milled with faux bolsters near the pivot with the rest of the handles being adorned with an organic, jigged pattern that is classic in style and feels great in the hand. A 3D machined Titanium pocket clip carries the same bead blast and bronze anodized finish and offers tip-up, right hand only carry. The scales and pocket clip are attached with blue anodized titanium torx hardware and complimented with a two-tone, bronze and blue, custom titanium pivot screw.

About CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
