This Pena Custom Barlow Flipper is no exception and seamlessly blends traditional style and modern construction and materials. Blade: Sporting a classic Clip Point pattern blade, this knife has a robust flipper tab and fires hard. The blade is made from premium CPM-154 stainless with a hand-rubbed horizontal satin finish and has a razor edge. It rides on caged stainless bearings for a smooth operation and has a nice, strong detent which offers lightening quick deployment.

Handle: Modern and clean in both form and function. The Barlow Flipper is built with a frame formed by two thick, tumbled, bronze anodized titanium slabs that are contoured for a clean look and comfortable feel in the hand. On slab forms the integral frame lock which is smooth to operate and offers solid, secure lockup. A 3D machined Titanium pocket clip carries the same tumbled bronze finish and offers tip-up, right hand only carry. The scales and pocket clip are attached with blue anodized titanium torx hardware and complimented with a two-tone, bronze and blue, custom titanium pivot screw.

About CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
