Enrique Pena Custom Mini Zulu Top Flipper Bolstered Burlap Micarta 4328
Enrique Pena is known for his remarkable fit and finish along with making knives that are peerless in both form and function. His knives often blend the modern and traditional and this Custom Mini Zulu Top Flipper is a perfect example. This version comes with a hand rubbed satin finished CPM-154 blade and Burlap Micarta handles with crosscut natural Micarta bolsters and white liners.
Brand new, directly from Enrique Pena.
Blade: Shaped as a traditional spear point blade, this knife has a minimal top flipper tab that allows the knife to retain a traditional look and feel while offering one-handed deployment. The blade is made from premium, American CPM-154 stainless steel with a horizontal hand-rubbed satin finish and has a razor sharp edge and piercing point. It rides on caged stainless bearings for a smooth operation and has a strong detent for snappy deployment.
Handle: Modern and clean in form and function, the frame of the handle is formed by two thick satin finished titanium liners. These liners also form the liner locking mechanism which provides solid, secure lock up along with smooth operation. Giving the Mini Zulu a timeless appearance, the bolsters and back spacer are made from crosscut natural canvas Micarta with brown Burlap Micarta covers all offset with white liner material. The knife is finished off with satin titanium hardware and a brushed stainless steel shield on the show side.
Includes a Pena embroidered zipper pouch.
CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
