ESEE 5P Venom Green Orange G10 with Black Kydex Sheath

The ESEE 5P fixed blade was designed by an Air Force SERE Instructor with the goal of being one of the best knives for aircraft survival, escape and evasion. The ESEE 5 is made of "bomb-proof", 1/4" thick 1095 tool steel with a full tang construction, durable powder coat finish and Hi-Viz G10 handle scales. For emergency situations the ESEE 5 is every ounce of tool you need for survival.

Blade: The ESEE 5 is made from solid 1095 High Carbon Tool Steel that has been saber ground to deliver a plain edge with an excellent combination of durability and cutting performance. 1095 is easy to get extremely sharp and is tough as nails but doesn't offer much in the way of corrosion resistance. Thankfully the knife is finished in a durable Venom Green Powder Coat that enhances resistance corrosion while reducing the reflectivity of the blade and hiding general wear. The Venom Green has a very high visibility making it very difficult to lose this knife in the great outdoors. Jimping along the spine of the blade provides added traction for both power cuts and detail work.

Handle: The handle of the knife consists of two beefy Orange G10 scales bolted to the full tang construction with black oxide finished Allen bolts. The peel ply texture of the G10 offers traction even when wet and provides some of the highest durability as well as resistance to moisture and chemicals for no fuss, no muss, low-maintenance. The bright Orange of the G10 paired with the vibrant color of the blade keeps this ESEE 5 easy to spot in the brush. The front scale sports a divot for bow drill fire making. The exposed tang at the pommel has a large hole for lanyard attachment, glass breaker point and serial number.

Sheath: Includes a custom molded Kydex sheath with reversible belt clip and screw-adjustable retention.

1095 High Carbon Tool Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
