The Libertariat Machete is a lightweight survival tool designed for tropical environments. Features like the draw knife blade hole and 90-degree spine for ferro rod striking make the Libertariat a multi-functional tool, while the tough carbon steel blade makes tackling jungle foliage a breeze. This version was made in-house by ESEE in the United States of America. The micarta handle, coated blade, and switch from 1075 steel to ESEE's preferred 1095 carbon steel are the most noticeable differences from the previous iteration.
1095 Carbon Steel: A simple, extensively used carbon steel with low edge retention and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen to a fine edge, 1095 can be differentially heat treated (hard edge/soft spine) for optimized performance.
