The Downwind Drop Point from Gerber takes this iconic hunting knife profile and delivers it with modern materials and style. This version comes with a two-tone 7Cr17MoV stainless steel blade with Sage Green GFN and layered green and black G10 handle scales.

Blade: The 7Cr17MoV stainless steel drop point blade comes with a satin finished high saber grind for balanced durability and performance, and rugged stonewashed flats to hide wear from use. Spine jimping provides added traction and extends well down the handle. Coming in around 3.5 mm thick, the blade is robust enough for serious use while the high grind delivers solid cutting performance. The forward belly is ideal for skinning tasks and the tapered point works well for piercing and fine work.

Handle: The full tang construction supports durable and weather resistant GFN on top of which rest high traction layered G10 handle scales. Chamfered edges make the ergonomic design comfortable in extended use while the neutral design allows for multiple grip options for added versatility. Stainless pins and a hollow lanyard tube hole the scales securely to the tang.

Sheath: Carries via a waxed canvas sheath with snap closure and drop loop.
