Used by the indigenous peoples of the Arctic in its traditional form, the Ulu is a versatile and functional cutting tool with a unique blade design that delivers powerful push cuts, rocking cuts and slicing with one hand. The handle and blade design allow for greater force transfer while still being capable of very controlled cuts. This version comes with a two-tone 7Cr17MoV stainless steel blade with Sage Green GFN and layered green and black G10 handle scales.

Blade: The wide, sweeping blade of 7Cr17MoV stainless steel comes with a satin finished high saber grind for balanced durability and performance, and rugged stonewashed flats. Jimping on the spine provides added traction for leverage and control while the forward swedge tapers the point for piercing and fine work. The sweeping cutting edge is ideal for skinning and food prep tasks and can be used for slicing, push cuts and rocking cuts on a cutting board or other flat surface.

Handle: The full tang construction supports layered G10 handle scales which are durable, weather resistant and easy to clean. An ergonomic design provides comfort during extended use while the textured G10 gives solid traction even when wet. The scales are attached over durable GFN that covers the tang for protection of the hands in cold environments. Stainless pins and a hollow lanyard tube hole the scales securely to the tang.
