The practical, tactical, every day carry Fastball is an American-made EDC knife that is Gerber's first foray into the manual ball bearing pivot flipper. The practical design utilizes an index finger flipper to deploy the utilitarian modified Wharncliffe blade on the B.O.S.S. Tech bearing pivot for fast, smooth deployment every time. This version comes with a stonewashed S30V blade and Flat Sage Green handles in hang pack packaging.

Blade: Stonewashed CPM S30V delivers great edge retention and corrosion resistance on the rugged saber ground, modified Wharncliffe profile. The reverse Tanto point blade has a prominent swedge for enhanced piercing while retaining good durability riding on a ball bearing pivot for consistently smooth action and fast deployment via the flipper tab.

Handle: Dual hard anodized aircraft-grade aluminum scales house the blade, polymer back spacer and a single stainless steel liner that forms the lock mechanism. The liner lock provides smooth operation and secure lock up in this lightweight and ergonomic platform with an integral guard for safety and chamfered edges for comfort in the hand. A generous oval hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a 3-Position stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM-S30V: A powdered stainless steel with high levels of edge retention and corrosion resistance S30V was developed specifically for use in knife blades. The powdered process gives it a very refined grain, improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
