The practical, tactical, every day carry Fastball is an American-made EDC knife that is Gerber's first foray into the manual ball bearing pivot flipper. The practical design utilizes an index finger flipper to deploy the utilitarian Modified-Wharncliffe blade on the B.O.S.S. Tech bearing pivot for fast, smooth deployment every time. This version comes with a stonewashed S30V blade and Urban Grey handles.

Blade: Stonewashed CPM S30V delivers great edge retention and corrosion resistance on the saber ground, modified Wharncliffe blade. The reverse Tanto point has a prominent swedge for enhanced piercing while retaining good durability. The utilitarian blade rides on a ball bearing pivot for consistently smooth action and fast deployment via the flipper tab.

Handle: The single stainless steel liner construction also forms the lock mechanism which provides smooth operation and secure lock up. The rest of the handle is made from lightweight, durable, aircraft-grade aluminum with a hard anodized finish. A generous oval hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a 3-Position (RH/Reversible, LH/Tip-Up), stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM-S30V: A martensitic, powdered stainless steel with high levels of wear and corrosion resistance. Its chemistry promotes the formation and even distribution of vanadium carbides, which are harder and more effective at cutting than chromium carbides. This gives it a very refined grain, further improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
