Made with alligator skin texture thermoplastics, the Gator offers an amazingly secure and comfortable grip that gives optimal control for fine cutting tasks while the back lock and stainless blade are robust enough for utility work. This is the big brother to the GatorMate folder.

Blade: The large plain edge, clip point blade is hollow ground giving it excellent slicing performance with a fine tip for detail work and piercing. Matte gray, media blasted 420HC provides a very easy to maintain stainless steel that takes a razor like edge. The blade opens with two-handed operation utilizing a pinch grip on the blade.

Handle: The Gator Skin over mold delivers optimal comfort and traction in the hand while the partial steel liners and Glass-filled nylon core deliver lightweight durability and strength to this compact folder. The knife operates on a simple back lock mechanism with tried and true reliability. Gerber adds a 'half-stop' detent that enhances safety while still delivering smooth operation.

420HC Stainless Steel: 420HC is a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With proper heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
