Details

The #23 from Great Eastern Cutlery is the GEC version of a classic two-blade trapper. Instead of the traditional blade profiles Great Eastern has opted to go with a drop point Skinner paired with a hefty Spey blade. With a full size handle and dual, polished 1095 carbon steel blades this Trapper is ready to handle your heavy use tasks. This Northfield UN-X-LD version comes with polished blades, bolsters with Antique Autumn Natural Bone covers and UN-X-LD shield.

Brand new, direct from Great Eastern Cutlery, USA.

Blade: The #23 Trapper comes with two blades: a drop point Skinner and robust Spey blade. Both blades are equipped with a polished full flat grind, subtle top swedge and short nick for opening.

Handle: Antique Autumn Natural Bone handle scales are fitted perfectly to the polished and grooved nickel silver bolsters of the generous handle, supported by solid brass liners. Antique Autumn Natural Bone delivers an organic look and warm in hand feel, perfect for this timeless traditional design. Brass liners and pins round out construction along with the polished UN-X-LD shield.

Each GEC folder ships rolled in wax paper inside a shipping tube with company information on the front.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
