Details

The #81 Tidioute Bull Moose pattern from Great Eastern Cutlery works its way into the larger level of traditional-styled pocket knives with plenty of cutting edge to go around. Between its two long blades and bigger handle, the Bull Moose is ready to get to work. Picture this one right at home in your tool shed, basement or garage.

The #81 in Moose Green Jigged Bone is brand new direct from the factory.

The Blades: Equally large users on the Moose, both handy given most tasks when called upon. The classic clip and spear point styles operate out of opposite bolsters with nail nick grabbing openers. No half stop on these, just smooth easy pulling American working blades. Both have received a classic satin finish on easy-sharpening, good edge-holding 1095 high carbon steel. Nothing but the best from GEC.

The Handle: Your classic bone handle scales have a jigged pattern adding texture for grip. GEC has applied a dark, black to forest green coloring to the scales creating a handsome appearance. Outfitted with nickel silver bolsters, brass liners and pins for top notch fit 'n finish construction. A flush Tidioute shield is attached to the front of each as a final touch.

Each comes shipped in wax paper with travel tube featuring company information on the front.

1095 High Carbon Tool Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
