Blade: The #86 Oil Field Jack comes with two blades situated at the same end of the handle. The primary blade is a large, flat ground clip point blade for tackling the heavy work and a flat ground coping blade for fine work. Both 1095 high carbon steel blades open with a snappy half stop via a classic nail nick and have a fine satin finish. The coping blade is marked with the PPP logo.
Handle: Natural Oily Creek Bone handle scales are fitted perfectly between two polished nickel silver bolsters of the straight handle with has a subtle taper toward the blade-end. The smooth bone offers a unique, natural color and comfortable feel in the hand. All nickel silver has a bright polished finish on the #86 including the Tidioute Wrench Shield. Brass liners and pins round out construction.
Each #86 ships rolled up in wax paper inside a shipping tube with company information on the front.
