Details

The #86 Oil Field Jack from Great Eastern Cutlery has a timeless look and classic feel that fits just right in the hand and the pocket. A brushed shield and bolsters add a touch of class while the straight handle and dual satin blades are all business. This Tidioute version comes with Sucker Rod Wood covers and Wrench shield. This one is marked with the "PPP" distinction on the pen blade for "Pattern Production Premiere".

Brand new, direct from Great Eastern Cutlery, USA.

Blade: The #86 Oil Field Jack comes with two blades situated at the same end of the handle. The primary blade is a large, flat ground clip point blade for tackling the heavy work and a flat ground coping blade for fine work. Both 1095 high carbon steel blades open with a snappy half stop via a classic nail nick and have a fine satin finish. The coping blade is marked with the PPP logo.

Handle: Sucker Rod Wood handle scales are fitted perfectly between two polished nickel silver bolsters of the straight handle with has a subtle taper toward the blade-end. All nickel silver has a bright brushed satin finish on the #86 including the Wrench Shield. Brass liners and pins round out construction.

Each #86 ships rolled up in wax paper inside a shipping tube with company information on the front.

1095 High Carbon Tool Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
