Details

The #82 pattern by Tidioute Cutlery is a modern take on a classic design known as the Dixie Stockman. It's a mid to large-sized worker's knife that gives its user three blade options to handle the cutting task. While it has three users, the #82 remains light on its feet and slim in the pocket. The perfect ranch companion or every day traveler.

The Dixie Stockman in Natural Canvas Micarta is brand new direct from Great Eastern Cutlery.

The Blade: The primary user on this stockman is the muskrat clip point. It's a long, slender utility slicer ground flat for thin clean cuts. The middle blade is a piercing wharncliffe style excellent for getting into and making straight line cuts time and time again. Finally, on the backside, we have a small spey blade perfect for wood removal or slicing your favorite fruit. Each is built from USA high carbon 1095 tool steel and given a GEC satin finish. This steel is tough and will be easy to maintain its edge. No half stops on these guys, just smooth pulling action right when you need it.

The Handle: Each Stockman comes equipped with brass liners for support and handsome natural canvas micarta scales. It has a nice bend about half way down for a comfortable cutting grip. This bend matches the Serpentine Shield quite naturally. Both bolsters and shield are crafted from nickel silver that's been given a nice brushed satin finish that compliments the scales well. Brass pins round out construction on this piece.

Each #82 Dixie Stockman is delivered fresh in its wax paper and traveling tube with company information on the front.
