The #59 Shaffer Farm Whittler is a classic split back spring pattern with a stout spear point blade paired with pen and coping blades to complete the trio. It retains the classic look and feel with premium fit and finish that Great Eastern Cutlery represents. This Northfield UN-X-LD #59 comes with polished satin carbon steel blades and desert ironwood covers.

Blades: The whittler blade trio is delivered in polished satin 1095 carbon steel. A flat ground spear point blade handles the heavy lifting while a pen and coping blade deal with any delicate work. The smaller blades have a solid half stop while the spear blade benefits from the pressure of both springs for added safety.

Handle: Figured desert ironwood scales offer a unique and striking look with good durability and warm, organic feel. Covers are flush fit between two polished and grooved nickel silver bolsters matching the Keyhole shield. The classic whittle pattern has brass liner and pins construction with split back springs.

Each knife ships rolled in wax paper inside a shipping tube with company information on the front. 

1095 Carbon Steel: A popular, simple carbon steel, 1095 is used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear resistance and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
