Blade: Lean functional, flat ground 1095 carbon steel drop point has plenty of utility cutting power and satin polished for visual appeal. It opens via a single nail nick with a pronounced half stop, confidently snapping into the open position. The blade has standard GEC markings stamped into the tang.
Handle: A full size handle accommodates medium to large hands with a neutral design for versatility. Smooth and rugged, the Arizona Ironwood scales deliver unique and striking grain patterns while being exceptional durable and weather resistant. The scales are pinned to brass liners in the classic style while the stainless back spring delivers secure, non-locking operation. Polished and triple-grooved bolsters at the pivot and a matching Bomb shield round out the construction.
Each GEC knife ships wrapped in wax paper inside a tube with company information on the front.
1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
