Details

Custom maker Sam Jones A.K.A. Grindhouse Knives, delivers practical and utilitarian knives that are overbuilt like tanks for serious daily use. Industrial style, ergonomic comfort, and quality handmade production makes each Grindhouse knife a unique and capable cutting tool. The #5 KD flipper comes with a hand rubbed satin CTS-XHP spear tip blade, fine media tumbled and brushed titanium handle slabs, and a crystal titanium UNOB clip.

Blade: The 5.5 mm thick CTS-XHP blade rides smooth on the ceramic bearing pivot with plenty of inertia for decisive flipper deployment. A spear tip swedge and shallow hollow grind provide good performance while retaining plenty of thickness for increased durability. The hand rubbed satin finish on the flats and grinds delivers a handsome, custom style.

Handle: Thick, contoured titanium slabs pair with a proud back spacer to form the handle with a neutral design for versatility in multiple grips. A fine media tumbled and brushed finish pair with satin hardware for a visually appealing look while the integral frame lock is solid and secure for safe use.

Carries via a right-hand milled titanium clip with UNOB crystal finish.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and hardness of D2. It offers good hardness with toughness-edge retention balance, both being better than S35VN with easier sharpening. Corrosion resistance is closer to 3V than 440C, making it more of a semi-stainless.
