Grindhouse Knives KD #6 Flipper Hamon 1095 Satin Titanium Folder 4789
Custom maker Sam Jones A.K.A. Grindhouse Knives, delivers practical and utilitarian knives that are overbuilt like tanks for serious daily use. Industrial style, ergonomic comfort, and quality handmade production makes each Grindhouse knife a unique and capable cutting tool. The #6 KD flipper comes with a hamon finished 1095 carbon steel Sheepsfoot blade, satin finished titanium handle slabs, and a crystal titanium UNOB clip.
Blade: The 4.8 mm thick 1095 carbon steel blade rides smooth on the ceramic bearing pivot with plenty of inertia for decisive flipper deployment. The tip swedge and shallow hollow grind provide solid performance on the Sheepsfoot blade which has a more rounded tip for added safety. A custom hamon (edge pattern) is unique and offers exceptional style.
Handle: Slimmed down to under 5 mm for reduced carry weight, the contoured titanium slabs pair with a proud back spacer to form the handle with a neutral design for versatility in multiple grips. A hand rubbed satin finish pairs with satin hardware for a visually appealing look contrasting the dark, organic look of the blade. The integral frame lock is solid and secure for safe use.
Carries via a right-hand milled titanium clip with UNOB crystal finish.
1095 Carbon Steel: A simple, extensively used carbon steel with low edge retention and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen to a fine edge, 1095 can be differentially heat treated (hard edge/soft spine) for optimized performance.
