Helle Knives Hellefisk 12C27 Stainless Cork Fixed Blade Knife

The Hellefisk was originally designed by Tor Indergaard as a fishing knife. It comes with a cork handle for an ultralight weight and a slender, thin blade that makes it perform well in a variety of tasks in the field or in the kitchen. The solid 12C27 Sandvik steel blade comes razor sharp and makes the Hellefisk a solid choice for a "go anywhere" lightweight cutting tool.

Blade: Made of solid Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, the blade is semi-flexible and is excellent for controlled slicing in and out of the kitchen. The long, slim blade delivers over 4.5 inches of cutting edge and has a subtle trailing point with a thin stock and flat grind for an optimal balance of performance and strength. 

Handle: A barrel-style cork handle capped with polymer bolsters offers a comfortable grip with plenty of traction. If the knife unintentionally ends up in the water the handle helps it float long enough for it to be retrieved and keeps the knife under 2.5 ounces. Through tang construction means your hands are safe from wet, cold metal during use.

Carries via a hand stitched Nordic style leather belt sheath.

Sandvik 12C27: A modified AISI 420, Sandvik 12C27 has around 4 times the carbon for higher hardness. Thanks to a high purity and fine carbide microstructure, this steel delivers good corrosion resistance, high hardness and exceptional toughness, allowing for razor sharpness.
