Heretic Knives ADV Butcher OTS Automatic Black DLC Aluminum Flamed Titanium and Carbon Fiber H034-6A

Andre De Villiers has teamed up with Heretic Knives to deliver an out-the-side automatic version of his classic Butcher folder. Executed with precison by Heretic Knives this variation of the Butcher Automatic has a tumbled, black DLC coated, CPM S35VN blade, black anodized aluminum handles with textured carbon fiber inlays and backspacer and flamed titanium hardware.

Blade: The Butcher has a big, beefy Sheepsfoot blade made from CPM-S35VN and finished with a tumbled, Black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. This finish is non-reflective, corrosion resistant and hides wear from use. The high saber grind and swedge gives the blade good cutting performance with excellent durability. Dual fullers offer a visual appeal while jimping on the spine provides solid traction. A simple push of the textured and flame anodized button deploys the blade automatically with decisiveness.

Handle: The black anodized aluminum handles are milled for traction and visual appeal and inlaid with beautiful, grid milled carbon fiber. The backspacer is made from matching carbon fiber with jimping for added grip and an exposed striker pommel and lanyard hole. The custom scalloped pivot is ringed with a flame anodized pivot collar that adds a pop of color with the matching textured button. The button lock is smooth to operate, offering rock solid lockup.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, black titanium pocket clip with steel roller.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
