The Heretic Knives Manticore-S is the smallest of the Manticore Series of double action, out the front, automatic knives. The scaled down Manticore-S has the same countered, 3D machined, aircraft grade aluminum handle with traction scallops around the edge for a comfortable and secure grip in the hand. This Blade Show 2021 special version comes with a two-tone Battleworn finished, Elmax Bowie blade, black handle and blue/black G10 slide.

Blade: The sleek, hollow ground, Bowie-style clip point blade combines powerful cutting and piercing performance with a striking look. High quality, Bohler Elmax stainless steel delivers a balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance and toughness. Acid etched and tumbled, the Battleworn grinds offer a rugged finish that hides wear from use, while the satin flats give a classy two-tone look. Deployment via the double action automatic mechanism is fast, smooth and reliable. Simply press the blue/black G10 thumb slide up to open and down to close.

Handle: Milled, black anodized aluminum offers just under 3.5 inches of handle, long enough for a solid grip with no excess real estate for ease of carry. Contoured handles have smooth chamfered edges paired with strategically placed scallops for a perfect blend of comfort and traction. The front and back of the handles are kept clean with only a milled logo subtly embellishing the front. Company and model markings are on the spine. The handles are completed with gray Torx hardware visible on the back, an integral lanyard hole and hardened steel glass breaker inset in the pommel.

Carries via a right hand, tip-down, stainless steel deep carry pocket clip.

Bohler Elmax: Bohler Elmax is a popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. Elmax has similar performance to the American CPM-S30V/S35VN, falling between the two in terms of edge retention and toughness with S35VN level corrosion resistance and similar sharpening response.
