The Heretic Knives Manticore-X is the largest of the Manticore Series of double action, out the front, automatic knives. The Manticore-X has a countered, 3D machined, aircraft grade aluminum handle with strategically placed scallops around the edge that delivers a comfortable and secure grip in the hand. This version comes with a double edge, Battleworn finished, CPM S35VN blade and black anodized handles.

Blade: The long Double Edge blade combines powerful cutting performance with an elegant slender look. High quality, American CPM-S35VN stainless steel blade was chosen for its balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance and edge toughness. The grinds have a blasted and tumbled "Battleworn" finish combines the discretely non-reflective look of a blasted finish and the rugged wear-hiding of a stonewashed finish. It deploys via a dual action automatic mechanism for fast, smooth operation. Simply press the thumb slide up to open and then back down to close.

Handle: Milled, Black anodized aluminum offers 5.5 inches of handle, long enough for extra large or gloved hands. The contoured milling of the handle has smooth edges paired with strategically placed scalloped sections for excellent comfort and traction. The front and back of the handles are sterile with company, model and serial number markings on the spine. The handles are completed with titanium Torx hardware visible on the back, a G10 slide, integral lanyard hole and hardened steel glass breaker inset in the pommel.

Carries via a right hand, tip-down, stainless steel deep carry pocket clip.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V and the adjusted chemistry makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
