The Firetac is a slim, sleek and capable "every day tactical" folder that Rick Hinderer developed over a decade ago and is now being released in a full production model. The Firetac is like a more streamline version of the XM-18 3.5". It sports a slimmer blade and handle with the same robust titanium frame lock construction, now with a hardened steel lock face insert, and high traction G10/Titanium front scale. No flipper on the Firetac means a clean profile in the closed position while the titanium thumb disk makes for fast, ambidextrous deployment when you need it. This version comes with a stonewashed 20CV blade, blue anodized stonewashed titanium frame and orange G10 front scale.

Blade: At just over 3.5" the recurve blade offers plenty of cutting edge while the high height saber grind has plenty of toughness with balanced slicing and piercing performance. A small section of jimping on the spine adds traction while the titanium thumb disk maintains a low profile providing fast, ambidextrous deployment with the user customizable Tri-Way pivot bearings installed. High performance CPM-20CV is delivered in a heavy stonewashed finish that looks great while hiding wear from use.

Handle: Familiar Hinderer construction starts with a titanium frame lock with open-back construction and a titanium liner supporting the 3D Textured G10 front scale. Streamlined thanks to a lack of jimping on the handles, the Firetac offers a more comfortable grip and smoother transition in and out of the pocket. The frame lock is equipped with a hardened steel lock face insert for smooth and reliable operation and rock solid lockup.

Carries via a reversible, right-hand only, Hinderer Style titanium pocket clip.

CPM 20CV: CPM 20CV is a highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, analogous to Bohler M390 and CTS-204P, and offers some of the best corrosion resistance and wear resistance in combination with a relative ease of sharpening. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.

Tri-Way Pivot: The newest innovation from Rick Hinderer, the Tri-Way pivot features milled pockets in the blade and frame allowing for the use of ball bearing pivot washers (installed) or, utilizing steel spacers to fill those pockets, you can use either of the included sets of nylon or bronze washers to customize the action and operation of your knife.
