The Hinderer Knives XM-18 3.5" Fatty Spanto Blade with battleship Gray 3D textured G10 is a precision-crafted hard-use tactical folder. Nearly identical to the regularly produced XM-18, the Fatty version has a beefed up blade measuring in at 0.185" thick. Overall handle thickness and weight has also increased slightly to provide a palm filling grip of this muscled up beast. Brand new directly from the Hinderer Ranch.
The Blade: The 0.185" thick three and a half inch blade has a heavily stonewashed finish and can be opened via the integral flipper or dual thumb studs/blade stops. Rick's own 17-4PH state-of-the-art pivot system creates silky smooth operation; however, a bit of wrist action may be needed for flipping as Hinderers often have a light detent. The extended flipper tab features an "F" indicating this is a Fatty Edition XM-18.
The Handle: Full titanium frame lock and liner are both fully tumbled matching the blade. It won't show as much wear and tear over the long haul. Hardware and standoffs create one tough package while 3D texturing on the G-10 scale coupled with jimping all around create a solid grip. There is a bit of a choil to choke up on the blade for more detailed cutting tasks as well. This Hinderer XM-18 includes the famous Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer and two-position titanium clip for tip up or down right hand carry.
About the Fatty: The Fatty Edition XM-18 fits regularly produced 3.5" handle scales, handle screws and pivot. XM-24 Standoffs. Handle nuts are Fatty Specific.
