This classic Bowie knife design has been executed with modern aesthetics and this Vintage Series offering utilizes classic materials for the construction: Parkarized O1 Tool Steel and Natural Walnut handle scales. The Ranch Bowie is a full-sized fixed blade that is built tough to handle any task you throw at it.

Blade: The 3/16" thick full tang blade is made from classic O1 tool steel with a traditional Parkarized finish for corrosion resistance. The traditional Bowie pattern sports a high saber grind and iconic top swedge clip. The upswept tip is fine enough for detail work and excellent for piercing while the saber grind delivers a good combination of durability and cutting performance. Jimping on the spine adds traction as well as a point of index when working in different grips. The black Parkarized coating is fitting for this rugged field knife; delivering a discreet, non-reflective and wear hiding finish.

Handle & Sheath: Linseed oil coated natural walnut scales handles feature the same contours as the standard Ranch Bowie and fill the hand in any grip, offering a secure and ergonomic handle with a more traditional feel. A "bird's head" style pommel that allows for a secure "pinky" finger grip that enhances control and security in the hand. The handle is attached with sturdy flat head bolts that allow for easy removal of the scales for cleaning and maintenance. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a premium, hand stitched and tooled, brown leather belt sheath.

O1 Tool Steel: Popular as a forging steel O1 tool steel is used by custom and production makers alike. Good edge stability, wear resistance, and toughness, O1 can reach 65HRC and works well with refined edge at high hardness for smaller knives.
