After nearly two years in design and R&D Rick Hinderer and Hinderer Knives have released the Ranch Drop Point Reserve into the wild! This Drop Point version of the Ranch knife has been executed with modern aesthetics and materials including a super tough CPM-3V blade and 3D Contoured Micarta handle scales. The Ranch Drop Point is a full-sized fixed blade that is built tough to handle any task you throw at it. This version comes with a Battle Black finished blade and Burlap Black Micarta handles.

Rick Hinderer Reserve: For 2020 Rick is introducing this special line of production knives built by Rick himself which will come with his hand signed, in ink, signature card.

Blade: The 3/16" thick full tang blade is made from very tough CPM-3V tool steel. The utilitarian Drop Point pattern sports a high saber grind for durability and performance. The tip is strong enough for heavy piercing while the saber grind delivers a good combination of durability and slicing performance. Jimping on the spine adds traction as well as a point of index when working in different grips. The tumbled Battle Black finish is fitting for this rugged field knife; delivering a discreet, non-reflective and wear hiding finish.

Handle: Beefy, 3D Machined Burlap Black Micarta handles fill the hand in any grip and offer a secure and ergonomic handle without the need for aggressive traction. A "bird's head" style pommel that allows for a secure "pinky" finger grip that enhances control and security in the hand. The handle is attached with sturdy flat head bolts that allow for easy removal of the scales for cleaning and maintenance. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a premium, hand stitched, brown leather belt sheath.

CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention.
