The Hinderer Knives XM-18 3.5 is a precision-crafted hard-use tactical folder you can carry every day. It features an integral flipper tab and dual thumb studs for fast, easy operation in a mid-sized platform designed to fit most hands comfortably while handling nearly any task. Easy, one-hand operation and a reliable lock system are the foundation of the XM series. This version comes with a Working Finish CPM-20CV Slicer grind blade, Battle Bronze titanium frame and translucent "Jade" green G10 scale.

Gen 6: Hardened steel lock face insert and Tri-Way Pivot, detailed below.

Blade: Riding on the installed Tri-Way pivot bearings, the 3.5 inch Slicer grind blade opens fast and smooth via the integral flipper or dual thumb studs/blade stops. Premium CPM-20CV stainless steel delivers excellent performance with the rising Slicer grind, offering balanced slicing, piercing and durability. A full forward choil allows for excellent control, paired with spine jimping for traction. The blasted and tumbled Working Finish hides wear from use and is discreetly non-reflective.

Handle: Full titanium frame lock and liner are finished in Battle Bronze* for a rugged, wear hiding look with subdued visual appeal. Satin hardware and standoffs create one solid package, while a 3D textured G10 scale and strategically placed jimping provide a solid grip. The Hinderer LockBar Stabilizer, titanium clip insert and hardware make this a fully customizable modular design.

Tri-Way Pivot: The newest innovation from Rick Hinderer, the Tri-Way pivot features milled pockets in the blade and frame allowing for the use of ball bearing pivot washers (installed) or, utilizing steel spacers to fill those pockets, you can use either of the included sets of nylon or bronze washers to customize the action and operation of your knife.

CPM-20CV: CPM-20CV (analog to Bohler M390 and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
