Hinderer XM-24 Sheepsfoot Battle Black DLC 20CV FDE G10 Tri-Way Pivot Flipper
The Hinderer XM-24 is the largest knife in the series of XM knives. It was specifically designed for those with larger hands or for use when wearing gloves. Ease of opening and closing one-handed combined with a reliable lock system were the primary considerations, all met within the XM-24. This version comes with a Battle Black CPM-20CV Sheepsfoot blade with matching titanium frame and Flat Dark Earth or FDE G10 handle scale.
Features a hardened steel lock face insert and Tri-Way Pivot detailed below.
Brand new directly from the Hinderer Ranch. USA.
Blade: The 3.75 inch blade opens fast and smooth via the integral flipper or dual thumb studs/blade stops. The CPM 20CV blade delivers optimum edge retention and corrosion resistance and sports Hinderer's tumbled black DLC "Battle Black" finish for a durable, non-reflective and corrosion resistant finish. At nearly 3/16 inches thick the saber ground Sheepsfoot blade can handle nearly any slicing task and still has plenty of tip for piercing and fine work. A full size choil allows for a close grip when the task calls for extra control or leverage. Rick's own Tri-Way pivot system creates silky smooth operation with your choice of bearings, nylon or bronze washers. The detent is dialed in for decisive flipper deployment.
Handle: Full titanium frame lock and liner have a matching Battle Black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) that hides wear while maintaining a rugged and non-reflective look. Satin Hardware and DLC coated standoffs create one solid package while 3D texturing on the G10 scale coupled with jimping all around create a solid grip. A hardened steel lock face insert doubles as an over travel stop and pairs with the Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer to deliver a smooth operating, rock solid reliable lock up.
Carries via a reversible, right-hand only titanium clip.
Fully customizable with Compatible hardware from Hinderer Knives.
CPM 20CV: CPM 20CV is a highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, an analog to Bohler's M390, and offers some of the best corrosion resistance and wear resistance in combination with a relative ease of sharpening. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.
Tri-Way Pivot: The newest innovation from Rick Hinderer, the Tri-Way pivot features milled pockets in the blade and frame allowing for the use of ball bearing pivot washers (installed) or, utilizing steel spacers to fill those pockets, you can use either of the included sets of nylon or bronze washers to customize the action and operation of your knife.
