The Blade: Crafted into a classic, wide bolo shape ripe for chopping and tearing through foliage. Made from super tough SK5 high carbon steel to resist chipping and have an edge that's easy to maintain. It's given a black traction coat finish to protect the steel from the elements and offers the user right about 10 inches of cutting power. 

The Handle: Thick, comfortable thermoplastic rubber features five grooves for a solid grip when swinging with tapered butt end helping out. It has a lanyard hole for attaching cordage to increase grip. 

The Cutlass ships in a black hard plastic and Cordura sheath.

About SK5 Steel: It is the Japanese equivalent to American 1080. It is a hard steel that makes it create high quality blades and tools. Sk5 high carbon steel gives a knife the ability to cut through practically anything. It is very tough steel. It has a hardness of Rc 65. It produces a mixture of carbon rich martinsite with a few un-dissolved carbides. The extra carbide will increase the abrasion resistance and lets the steel attain an ideal balance of good blade toughness. It also gives excellent edge binding ability.
