Details

The Kershaw Boilermaker designed by Les George features an all-stainless build, unique handle cutouts and a rugged industrial PVD finish. With a subtle nod to its namesake, this assisted opening folder is all about structure, steel and function. Sharp, affordable and ready for action, the Boilermaker is ready to join your EDC.

Brand new directly from Kershaw Knives.

Blade: The modified drop point blade with piercing tip and generous belly is capable of slicing through the most daunting tasks. Kershaw's SpeedSafe Assisted Opening technology provides immediate access to the blade with a push on the flipper tab. The blade has been brown PVD coated and then tumbled for a weathered look that hides scratches and dings from use.

Handle: Ergonomic and comfortable, the dual stainless steel handle construction gives this folder a substantial in-hand feel. A window cutout lends to the industrial feel resembling beams of a bridge while helping to maintain a good overall weight. The Kershaw logo can be found in a secondary cutout keeping the show side of the blade sterile. Framelock backside for rock solid lock up and easy one-hand operation. Finished off with a single position deep carry clip (right, tip-up).

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440C. Sharpening should be a breeze.
