The Kershaw Deadline is a manual flipper with wicked wharny appeal from the minds of designer Matt Diskin and Kershaw Knives. It's quite slim for its size and comes with some mighty fine options such as KVT Bearings and the new Tuned Detent System, or TDS.

Brand new product direct from Kershaw Knives.

The Blade: This straight piercer has a two-toned flat ground finish with upper swedge and grey PVD coatings. It offers plenty of cutting edge to tackle daily tasks and will be a cinch to re-sharpen to a shaving edge. It opens manually via a notched integral flipper tab that protrudes from the back of the handle. This one zooms on Kershaw's KVT ball bearings pivot system working in tandem with the TDS on board. The Tuned Detent System puts a ball in the front scale on an inset steel plate that Kershaw can "fine tune" to a perfect flipping detent. The end result is consistent, right-in-that-sweet-spot action. Pretty cool stuff.

The Handle: Two-tone finished steel provides the strength of the Deadline with a cold-forged handle texture for grip. A cutout from the back frame creates the solid lockup while added grooves to the bottom portion give a place for your fingers to rest comfortably. A matte black backspacer, Torx hardware and decorative pivot cap complete construction. The show side has a filler tab that can be removed to flip the pocket clip for left hand carry.
