The Static has a steel frame lock construction for rock solid reliability and smooth operation.

Blade: Made from satin finished 8Cr13MoV stainless steel the Static has a cleaver style blade in a high-saber grind that offers a good balance of slicing performance and durability. The compact blade has a functional finger choil for optimal control paired with jimping on the spine. The blade rides on the ultra-smooth KVT bearing pivot for fast flipper deployment.

Handle: The solid steel frame construction give the knife good heft in the hand and solid balance while the milled texture delivers good traction in the hand. An open back construction offers easy cleaning and maintenance while the steel frame lock is intuitive to operate and reliable in use. The handle is finished in a stylish gray PVD coating for a classy look.

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440C. Sharpening should be a breeze.
