Kershaw XCOM Les George Design Military Style Liner Lock Manual Folder 3425
The Kershaw XCOM Folder has the stealthy good looks of a classic military style knife yet maintains a pocket friendly size that can slide right into your EDC rotation. Wanting to capture the essence of the U.S. World War II trench knife design, Kershaw turned to popular custom knifemaker and designer Les George to transform military into everyday tactical. Features a lightweight glass-filled nylon handle, symmetrical spear-point blade and deep carry clip.
Brand new directly from Kershaw Knives.
The Blade: Reminiscent of true military stylings, the spear point blade features a bayonet blade grind with single sharpened edge.
Made of quality 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and black coated to maintain tactical appearance and also act as a protectant. The blade can be deployed with either hand utilizing the thumb disc.
The Handle: Keeping with the theme, the handle is a black glass-filled nylon with deep grooves to mimic the original design and add grip. The handle houses an inset liner lock that holds solid when the blade is open and can also be easily maneuvered for closing. The size and shape of the handle provide a comfortable and lightweight feel. Completed with large lanyard hole and reversible deep carry pocket clip.
8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440C. Sharpening should be a breeze.
