Details
The Kizer Kane is based on custom knifemaker Matt Degnan's Kane XL design. While it is a larger sized knife, the handle rests comfortably in a medium/large hand and it feels well balanced overall.
This flipper has a handle built fully from titanium that has been finely bead-blasted for a smooth, handsome finish. A titanium framelock is formed on the lower scale with added hardened steel insert to improve the overall longevity of the lock-up as well as provide clean disengagement. The insert also prevents overtravel of the lockbar protecting the lock from overextension.
The blade floats on a ball bearing pivot for smooth as glass opening power with a push on the integral blade flipper. Composed of CPM-S35VN stainless steel, the blade has been tumble finished and hollow ground to a drop point with aggressive harpoon swedge. The choil allows for choking up on the knife for more detailed work while the raised swedge acts as a thumb ramp in this position.
Blue titanium handle screws and barrel spacer construction bring the entire piece together. Soft blue anodized titanium pocket clip attached for tip-up right-handed carry.
