Les Voorhies Simplex Flipper Shred Carbon Fiber Blue Kirinite CPM S35VN

Working in collaboration with designer Faisal Yamin, Les Voorhies has executed the ergonomic Simplex flipper with an amazing attention to detail and superb fit and finish. The Simplex is crafted with tight tolerance for a seamless piece of function artwork in the form of a sleek cutting tool. This version comes with a satin finished CPM S35VN blade, blue anodized titanium liners and shred carbon fiber and blue Kirinite handles.

Blade: The modified drop point blade rides smoothly on an IKBS bearing pivot and deploys fast via the large, integral flipper. CPM S35VN delivers a solid blend of performance characteristics and is executed in a beautifully satin finished hollow grind providing excellent slicing performance with a subtle top swedge tapering to a fine point.

Handle: A fantastic combination of blue Kirinite and Shred Carbon Fiber fit together like a glove. The carbon fiber has a subtle blue undertone tying it in with the overall theme of the piece. Kirinite inlays and pivot collars have an organic look and offer a subtle difference in feel from the fine texture of the carbon fiber. Full length blue anodized titanium liners provide the foundation and solid liner lock security. A matching partial backspacer extends from the handle and is outfitted with a large lanyard hole.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up blue titanium pocket clip. Comes with black microfiber bag for storage.

CPM-S35VN: Designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V, S35VN substitutes niobium for vanadium delivering an increase in toughness of about 15-20% with no appreciable loss of wear resistance. Increased toughness means better resistance to edge chipping. Corrosion resistance is on par with S30V.
