MAC Coltellerie 631-BE Black Nitro-B Black Polymer Outdoor Fixed Blade

Known the world over for their hardworking fixed blade, MAC Coltellerie offers the model 631 as an all-purpose outdoor tool adept in many roles including survival, rescue, dive and combat. With over 6.5 inches of blade, the 631 can handle most tasks with ease, while the Nitro-B stainless steel full tang construction and polymer handle make it an ideal choice for a low maintenance outdoor field knife. This version comes with a black Idroglider coated blade and black handle.

Blade: Black Idroglider coated, cryo treated Buderus Nitro-B stainless steel is tough, corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen making it a solid choice for heavy outdoor use. Black Idroglider (Teflon) makes the blade non-reflective for military or tactical use. The utilitarian drop point profile works well in a variety of tasks, while the saber grind and top swedge deliver a good balance of performance and durability. A section of serrations makes short work of rope and other tough, fibrous materials, while the saw tooth spine offers added versatility in outdoor and survival use.

Handle: Textured black dual polymer (TPE and PP) deliver a durable, weather resistant and high traction handle that wraps the full tang of the blade. Strategic jimping further enhances traction, while the forward guard and thumb ramp offer added safety during strenuous use. The rugged all stainless and polymer construction make this a great option for use in and around aquatic environments. A hole is provided for lanyard attachment, and the tang extends past the pommel for impact use.

Sheath: Carries via a polymer sheath with snap closure nylon drop loop.

Nitro-B: A German made nitrogen alloy stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, a very small carbide size for optimal sharpness and maximum working hardness around 60HRC for edge retention and durability. Similar to AEB-L with better corrosion resistance.
