Blade: Crafted from 33-layer nickel Damascus steel with a stainless steel VG-10 core, the drop point blade of the Kasumi is equipped with a high hollow grind for great slicing performance while retaining good durability for heavier use. It opens smoothly on Teflon washers via dual, anodized thumbstuds which match the pivot hardware. The blade is beautiful, functional and utilitarian.

Handle: The exposed stainless steel liners are subtly textured and flame colored at the pommel end and support handsome, contoured Rosewood handle scales. The scales offer a secure grip while the liner lock mechanism delivers reliable lockup and smooth operation. Tuck it into a pocket or pouch, this knife maintains clean lines on both sides of the handle by having no pocket clip.

Damascus clad VG10: VG-10 is a high-carbon stainless steel that takes a very good edge and holds it well. Popular with Japanese kitchen knife makers it is often hardened to 60-61 HRC A popular choice for small pocket knives thanks to good edge holding and stain resistance VG10 works well with a high polished, acute edge for optimal slicing performance. The Damascus cladding enhances durability as well as providing a unique visual appeal.
