Medford Knives Infraction Tumbled Blue Titanium S35VN Frame Lock Folder

For those of you that find a full-sized Medford pocket knife (XL for most folks) a bit cumbersome, Medford Knife & Tool has developed the streamlined, rocket ship folder just for you. It is called the Infraction and it is one of the smallest and lightest knives with a full size, full length frame they have ever produced. This may truly be the ultimate in hard use, everyday carry folders. This version comes with a Tumbled, Hollow Ground CPM-S35VN drop point blade and Tumbled, Blue Anodized titanium frame with stainless steel hardware.

Blade: The utilitarian drop point blade is made from 3/16 " thick CPM-S35VN that has been tumbled and then ground with a mid-height hollow grind delivering a blade that pierces and slices with the best while retaining a tank-like durability. The blade deploys smoothly on the dual nylon/bronze washer setup and opens ambidextrously via the large blade hole and fuller milling or the minimalist flipper tab with a bit of a wrist flick. A generous finger choil allows for optimal control of the blade for fine work.

Handle: Two beefy slabs of titanium form the handle of the Infraction and have been finished with a tumbled blue anodization. The front scale is milled with some contours for enhanced ergonomic while the back scale forms the integral frame lock mechanism. The construction is completed with stainless steel hardware and partial backspacer with lanyard hole. Both slabs and blade are marked with an individual serial number.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up only 3D Machined Titanium pocket clip. Includes an S3 Hard Case for transportation and storage.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
