Medford Knives Marauder-H Tumbled Black PVD Titanium CPM 3V Frame Lock Folder
Named after the WW II A-26 Marauder bomber, the Marauder-H has clean lines and a robust construction in a functionally minimalist design. The curved fuller-groove of the blade reduces weight and doubles as a thumb-slide groove for opening. Built like a tank, the Marauder-H is streamlined while delivering brute force toughness for any cutting task. This version is fully Black PVD coated and tumbled with a CPM-3V blade.
Brand new, directly from Medford Knife & Tool.
Blade: The utilitarian drop point blade is made from super-tough, 3/16" thick CPM-3V that has been black PVD coated and tumbled. The blade is ground with a mid-height hollow grind delivering a blade that pierces and slices with the best while retaining a tank-like durability. The blade deploys smoothly on the phosphor bronze washer pivot and opens ambidextrously via the large blade fuller milling. A generous finger choil allows for optimal control of the blade for fine work.
Handle: Two beefy, 3/16" slabs of tumbled, Black PVD coated titanium form the handle. The front scale is milled with some contours for enhanced ergonomic while the back scale forms the simple, robust, integral frame lock mechanism. The construction is completed with stainless steel hardware and partial backspacer with an oval hole provided for lanyard attachment. Both slabs and blade are marked with an individual serial number.
Carries via a right hand, tip-up only 3D Machined Titanium pocket clip. Includes an S3 Hard Case for transportation and storage.
CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention.
