The Praetorian Swift Auto is a slimmed down, automatic version of the classic Medford Knife and Tool Praetorian design with everything you love about the original made more everyday carry friendly while retaining a robust construction. Add to that a smooth and reliable button lock automatic mechanism, and you have a winning combination from MK&T. This version comes with a tumble finished CPM-S35VN Tanto blade and hunter green hard anodized aluminum handles with bronze hardware and clip.
Brand new, directly from Medford Knife & Tool.
Blade: A +3.5 mm thick CPM-S35VN Tanto blade comes with a tumbled finish and compound grind: flat ground at the tip for strength and hollow saber ground on the primary edge for durability and slicing performance. The thinner blade stock reduces the weight and thickness while enhancing cutting performance and is delivered with the iconic dual fullers of the classic Praetorian. The blade deploys smoothly and reliably via a medium strength coil spring with a push of the domed, stainless button lock.
Handle: Lightweight and durable hard anodized aluminum handles retain the classic Praetorian lines with scalloped milling on the front for traction. The button lock mechanism is flawlessly smooth and reliable with a stainless steel slide safety for a solid and secure mechanism. An integral aluminum back spacer protects the blade when closed with an oval hole for lanyard attachment at the pommel end. Bronze hardware and clip complete the construction.
Carries via a right-hand titanium pocket clip.
CPM-S35VN: Modified CPM-S30V designed for improved toughness (15-20%) and ease of machining and polishing. Well-balanced for daily use, S35VN has better edge retention and toughness compared to 440C or VG10, with equivalent corrosion resistance.
