Medford Micro Praetorian G Tanto Tumbled S35VN OD Green G10 Titanium Frame Lock Folder
The 2/3 size of the Micro Praetorian G is a chunky folder that offers the same blade and scale thickness as its larger counterpart. This beefy little monster can easily be slipped into smaller pockets while offering the same durability and similar ergonomic grip of its bigger brother. If you're looking for a smaller version of the Praetorian G or just want a compact chunky folder, this is the knife for you. This version has a tumbled, CPM-S35VN Tanto blade, matching lock side and clip, satin hardware and OD Green G10 front scale.
Brand new, directly from Medford Knife & Tool, USA.
Blade: The utilitarian, Tanto point blade is made from tough, 3/16 inch thick S35VN that has been tumbled and then ground with a mid-height hollow grind delivering a powerful slicing performance with a durable, flat ground Tanto for piercing. Deploying smoothly on the phosphor bronze washers the blade opens ambidextrously via the large blade fuller milling. Aggressive jimping on the spine transitions into the handle and offers unparalleled traction in the hand.
Handle: Two beefy 1/8 inch slabs, one titanium and one G10, and an NP3 coated D2 back spacer make up the handle. The front scale is textured for traction while reducing the weight by over half and ounce! The titanium frame is cut to form the simple, robust, integral frame lock mechanism. Construction is completed with satin titanium hardware and the partial back spacer with exposed striker pommel. Both slabs and blade are marked with an individual serial number. Includes a padded hard case for transportation and storage.
Carries via a right hand, tip-up 3D titanium pocket clip.
CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V and the adjusted chemistry makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
