The original Praetorian design size, the Praetorian Genesis is a perfect choice for the “This one is too big, this one is too small” knife user. The Praetorian Genesis is the middle ground between the standard and Micro versions that is large enough for nearly anything while still being relatively friendly for everyday carry. This version has a black PVD coated, CPM-S35VN Drop Point blade, faced/flame anodized bronze front with PVD clip and tumbled bronze lock side.

Blade: The utilitarian, Drop point blade is made from tough, 3/16" thick CPM-S35VN that has been ground with a mid-height hollow grind delivering powerful slicing and piercing performance with tank-like durability and just over 3 inches of razor sharp cutting edge. Black PVD coated, the blade is discreetly non-reflective in use. A fine point pierces with ease and excels at detail work. The blade deploys smoothly on the phosphor bronze washer pivot and opens ambidextrously via the large blade fuller milling. Aggressive jimping on the spine transitions into the handle and offers unparalleled traction in the hand.

Handle: Two beefy slabs of anodized titanium and a PVD coated D2 back spacer make up the handle. The front scale is milled with finger groove divots for enhanced traction while the back scale forms the simple, robust, integral frame lock mechanism. With +4 inches of grip area the Genesis can accommodate even large gloved hands. The construction is completed with titanium hardware and partial back spacer with exposed striker pommel. Both slabs and blade are marked with an individual serial number.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up only 3D Machined Titanium pocket clip. Includes an S3 Hard Case for transportation and storage.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting some niobium carbides for vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
