Medford's "Big Knife" performance is distilled down into a slim, lightweight, everyday carry package in the Praetorian Slim. Large enough for big jobs and plenty robust, the Praetorian Slim is similar in size to the Praetorian Genesis only scaled down in thickness and weight to offer a Medford design that can easily be carried every day in your pocket, pack or purse...even works well in dress slacks. This version has a black PVD coated, S35VN drop point blade, matching hardware and blasted and tumbled titanium handles.

Blade: The utilitarian drop point blade is made from 1/8 inch thick CPM-S35VN with discreet black PVD coated finish. Ground with a mid-height hollow grind for powerful slicing and piercing performance and solid durability, the blade has just over 3 inches of razor sharp cutting edge. The blade deploys smoothly on phosphor bronze washers, opening ambidextrously via the large blade fuller milling. An exposed portion of the tang can be used as a glass breaker in emergencies.

Handle: Two +1/8 inch slabs of blasted and tumbled titanium joined with barrel spacers form an easy to maintain, open back construction. The front scale is milled with finger groove divots for enhanced traction while the back scale forms the simple, robust, integral frame lock mechanism with anodized Lockbar Stabilizer. Over 4 inches of grip area can accommodate even large gloved hands while still carrying slim in the pocket. Construction is completed with PVD coated titanium hardware, large oval holes for lanyard attachment and an individual serial number on blade and handles. Includes a padded hard case for transportation and storage.

It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V and the adjusted chemistry makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
