The Slim Midi delivers a hard use Medford build in a slimmed down design for an easier to carry, streamlined "dress" model. Enhancing the aesthetics are new button-head pivot screws and double grooved titanium handles. Overbuilt in typical Medford fashion, this daily carry folder is surprisingly lightweight and an ideal all-around everyday carry. The Slim Midi comes sans breaker. This drop point version has a black PVD coated S35VN blade, flamed front scale and black PVD titanium frame.

Blade: The utilitarian drop point blade is made from +3 mm thick CPM-S35VN ground with a mid-height hollow grind delivering a blade that pierces and slices with the best while retaining good durability. The thinner blade stock reduces the weight and thickness while enhancing cutting performance. A matte black PVD coating delivers a finish that is discreet in carry and use. Phosphor bronze washer pivot construction offers smooth operation with dual fuller milling for ambidextrous opening. A generous finger choil allows for optimal control of the blade for fine work.

Handle: Forming the handle are two +3 mm slabs of titanium, the front a blasted, tumbled and flame anodized finish and the black coated with matte black PVD. The front scale has stepped milling for indexing and traction during use. A simple, robust, integral frame lock mechanism provides secure lockup for safe use. Made in a lightweight and easy to maintain open back construction, both scales have a milled groove on the spine for weight reduction and ergonomics. Black PVD coated stainless steel hardware and a triangle hole for lanyard attachment complete the construction. Both slabs and blade are marked with an individual serial number. Includes an S3 Hard Case and Certificate of Creation and Authenticity.

CPM-S35VN: A modified version of S30V designed for improved toughness over and easier machining and polish. Toughness is improved roughly 15-20%, with a slight decrease in wear resistance (edge retention). Corrosion resistance is also lightly higher, close to AISI 420. S35VN is a well-balanced steel for daily use.
