Medford Knives Slim Midi Tanto S35VN Faced Blue "Falling Leaf" Titanium Frame Lock Folder

The Slim Midi delivers a hard use Medford build in a slimmed down design for an easier to carry, streamlined "dress" model. Enhancing the aesthetics are new button-head pivot screws and double grooved titanium handles. Overbuilt in typical Medford fashion this folder is surprisingly lightweight and an ideal all-around everyday carry. The Slim Midi comes sans breaker. This Tanto version has a tumbled S35VN blade and faced blue anodized titanium handles with "Falling Leaf" sculpting and a brushed and flamed clip.

Blade: The Tanto profile blade is made from +3 mm thick CPM-S35VN that has been compound ground: a mid-height hollow on the primary edge for exceptional slicing and flat ground on the forward section for added durability in piercing. The thinner blade stock reduces the weight and thickness while enhancing cutting performance. The blade deploys smoothly on the phosphor bronze washer pivot and opens ambidextrously via the large blade fuller milling. A generous finger choil allows for optimal control of the blade for fine work. The blade has a rugged tumbled finish that hides wear from use.

Handle: Forming the handle are two +3 mm slabs of satin faced and anodized titanium with the front scale featuring stepped milling for index finger traction during use. The back scale is cut forming an integral frame lock mechanism for solid lock up and safe operation. Both scales have an aesthetic milled groove on the spine for weight reduction and enhanced ergonomic comfort and feature "Falling Leaf" sculpting for a custom look and feel. An easy to maintain open back construction reduces weight and is completed with stainless steel hardware and a triangle hole for lanyard attachment. Both slabs and blade are marked with an individual serial number.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up only brushed/flamed 3D machined titanium pocket clip. Includes an S3 Hard Case for transportation and storage.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V and the adjusted chemistry makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
