Theseus is the famous Greek hero-king who slayed the fearsome Minotaur. Medford Knife and Tool designed this knife with the heroic deeds of Theseus in mind, offering a utilitarian tool capable of nearly any task. Smaller and more robust than the Praetorian T, the Theseus offers a formidable tool in any situation. This version has a tumbled CPM-S35VN drop point blade and violet anodized titanium handles.

Blade: The +3.5 inch utilitarian, drop point blade is made from tough, 3/16" thick CPM-S35VN that has been tumbled and then ground with a mid-height hollow grind and top swedge for powerful slicing and piercing performance. The fine tip handles detail work with ease, while the smooth spine allow for leverage in heavy cuts. Deployment is smoothly on the large phosphor bronze washer pivot and opens ambidextrously via dual stepped divots on the blade or the ultra-minimalist flipper tab with some wrist action.

Handle: More robust than a Praetorian, the simple, ergonomic handle is constructed of 3/16" slabs of anodized titanium and an NP3 clear coated D2 back spacer with lanyard hole. The slabs are blasted, tumbled and violet anodized with the front scales sporting a faux bolster line and milled grooves for traction and indexing. A simple, robust, integral frame lock mechanism is cut from the back providing secure lockup and safe use. Construction is completed with satin titanium hardware and both slabs and blade are marked with an individual serial number. Includes an S3 Hard Case and Certificate of Creation and Authenticity.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, faced and flamed 3D titanium pocket clip.

CPM-S35VN: A modified version of S30V designed for improved toughness over and easier machining and polish. Toughness is improved roughly 15-20% with a slight decrease in wear resistance (edge retention). Corrosion resistance is also lightly higher, close to AISI 420. S35VN is a well-balanced steel for daily use.
