The Combat Troodon out-the-front automatic from Microtech is a substantial tool, popular among military, law enforcement and first responders. Its large size lends itself to situations requiring a more robust cutting tool while maintaining a size that is reasonable for daily carry. Like its bird-like dinosaur namesake, this Troodon is ready to strike. This Signature Series “Shadow” Hellhound version has a black DLC coated blade, matching hardware and clip and black aluminum frame with Jade Green G10 top.

Blade: The iconic Hellhound Tanto blade has a full black DLC coated finish for discreet carry and use. The plain cutting edge offers clean slicing performance with a scalloped spine, hole milling and fullers for added style. Double action automatic operation is fast, smooth, and reliable. Move the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both positions to reduce wear.

Handle: The hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum and G10 composite handle have plenty of real estate for a solid grip even in gloves, with jimping for traction and contoured edges for comfort. Smooth front and back, this version is exceptionally fast on the draw. This Signature Series version has a lightweight Jade Green G10 top and matching black DLC coated hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip. Date of production and “S/N 005” are marked on the clip.
