The Double Edge Combat Troodon out-the-front automatic knife by Microtech is a substantial tool, popular among military, law enforcement and first responders. Its large size lends itself to situations requiring a more robust cutting tool while remaining slender enough to keep on your person daily. Like its bird-like dinosaur namesake this Troodon is ready to strike. This version comes with a stonewashed M390 double edge blade and black anodized aluminum handles.
Brand new, direct from Microtech Knives, USA.
Blade: A wide spear point blade ground and sharpened a razor edge on both sides with dual clean slicing plain cutting edges. The premium, M390 stainless steel was chosen for its exceptional performance and is delivered with a rugged stonewashed finish to hide wear while looking great. It is engaged via a fast, smooth and reliable double-action automatic mechanism. Press the side thumb slide up to open and back down to close.
Handle: Black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum offers 5.25 inches of handle, excluding the breaker, substantial enough for even the largest or gloved hands. It has a smooth feel with machined grooves perfectly placed on both outer sides. This version is built with Microtech's proprietary hardware, integrated glass breaker end and pocket clip. Each is individually numbered and dated around the Microtech 'Talon' logo on the front of the knife.
Carries via a right hand, tip-up only, stainless steel pocket clip.
Bohler M390: A popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its exceptional edge retention, M390 has a good corrosion resistance for minimal maintenance. Another great feature of this steel is the ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
